Uppsala University is affiliated to CeXS
Given Uppsala University's long tradition in the synchrotron research field and active use of PETRA III beamlines, it is natural for Uppsala to be engaged in CeXS activities. Uppsala University sought to formalise this engagement and an Affiliation agreement has now been signed by the founding partners of CeXS, namely KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Linköping University, and Uppsala University.
CeXS welcome Uppsala University's affiliation.
Uppsala is contributing its expertise to CeXS, especially with educational activities. An Advanced course on beamline data analysis is scheduled for 16-19 Nov., where PhD students and researchers can bring their own problems to workshops that will be run by leading data analysis experts from facilities around the world. The programme will be published here soon.
However, let's firstly officially celebrate the affiliation on Monday 29 August. Join us at the Ångström labs from 09.30 to gain an overview of the PETRA III Swedish Material Science beamline, Sweden's privileged access to PETRA III as well as Uppsala University's research involving synchrotron infrastructures.
