PETRA III Swedish beamline satellite meeting | 26 Jan | Stockholm | 

Hear what's been happening at the PETRA III Swedish materials science beamline during 2022, and the emerging plans for PETRA IV, at the satellite event on 26 January as well as DESY's Annual Photon Science meeting on 27 January. Note these are again in-person events. Read more here.

Combining X-ray imaging and diffraction | 2 Feb | Stockholm | Register by 25 Jan

At this international workshop, hear how researchers from Germany, the UK and Sweden gained more holistic insights into materials phenomenon by combining imaging and diffraction measurement results. You'll also have the chance to discuss how to write beam time proposals with beamline scientists. For more information and registration, see here .

Matric 1 | 12-17 March | Hamburg and Lund | Apply before 31 January

The Matric 1 school will provide a systematic overview of the application of neutrons and synchrotron radiation to the structural analysis of engineering materials. Students and young scientists from research and industry from all of Europe interested in this field are welcome to participate. From 12-17 March, experiments are planned at the GEMS/DESY beamlines, at PETRA III in Hamburg and at MAX IV in Lund. Read more here.  and apply here  before the 31 January.
